Jacob Gregory Gulrud

New surroundings - still a little blue!

Jacob Gregory Gulrud was born on Thursday, September 17th at 7:26pm. He weighed in at 8lbs, 15-3/4oz and was 20″ long. We are calling him Jake and he seems to like it. Mom, Dad, and Jake came home from the hospital today and are all doing great! Enjoy the pictures and the video (if you only see one picture here, then click on it to get access to the whole gallery)!

And a short video:

The Middle of May in Saskatchewan

I had to push hard against a buildup of snow on the porch just to get the door open

I’m just about to head off to bed, but had to share this wacky Saskatchewan weather with everyone. We’ve had a mix of rain and snow throughout the day here, but it didn’t actually start accumulating until late in the evening. The next thing I know, we are snowed in again! Check out the pictures.

EDIT: Added some daytime pictures!

News from Ashley and Tena Duff!

The Duffs with new daughter Alaina

Thea’s sister Tena had her second baby on Sunday, May 3 at 7:30pm. Ashley and Tena named her Alaina Faith. She weighed 9lbs, 3oz (Thea thinks). Tena and Alaina are doing fine and expect to go home tomorrow. Here are a couple pictures:

And click here for a video of Leeyana describing her baby sister (whom she is very excited about)!

Snowed in again…

Here was the scene here a few days ago – Dinah and J3 playing outside with their friend Natalie:

Then, we woke up to about 4 or 5 inches of snow this morning.

So, we built some snowmen!

A whole family, in fact!

Our First Video Post

I’m going to attempt to post some videos here.

The first video is from the Skating Carnival.  J3 is in the tux holding the instructor’s hand.  Dinah is in the red dress following behind them.

The next video is Dinah and J3 performing a lovely duet of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”.

And Finally, Dinah offers up a stirring solo rendition of “Oh, how I love Jesus”.

Don’t forget to check out the post from earlier today as well for new pictures of the kids!

Catching Up On Stuff

Do I scare you? How about now?

It’s been a while since I’ve posted to the blog, so now it’s time to catch up.  This post will have photos from the Springside Skating Club Program, Dinah’s and Autumn’s combined birthday party, a trip to Chuck E. Cheese’s in Regina, and a few of the kids just messing around at home.  Enjoy the photos!

Well, it really happened!  Jack and Ruby were married in a nice, laid-back service on February 21, 2009 at Springside Baptist Church.  A good time was had by all, and things went well.  Check out the photo gallery for this joyous event!

Thanksgiving Trip

Autumn & Bobby

Well, I’m finally getting around to posting some pictures from our November 2008 trip to Wisconsin for Thanksgiving.  We had a great time, and were able to see lots of friends and family.  We are already looking forward to next year.  There are lots of pictures in the gallery, so click on the picture of Autumn and Bobby or on the Blog’s title to see the pictures!

J3’s 4th Birthday Party

We almost forgot to sing

J3 had his first “friends” birthday party this year.  He invited 3 friends for grilled cheese sandwiches and french fries.  The kids also cut out and decorated their own cookies and got some cool “body paintings”!  Check out the picture gallery by clicking on the thumbnail to the left!
